Finalists Announced for Dream it. Code it. Win it.

1420024_21828551 Finalists have been announced for the “Dream it. Code it. Win it.” competition, and a new $10,000 Prize sponsored by TradingScreen has been added, boosting the prize pot to a total $70,000. Finalists will receive their award at the live event, “Future of Innovation in a Networked World & Dream it. Code it. Win it. Awards and Networking Reception.”  The prizes are as follows:

  • 1st place: $20,000
  • 2nd place: $15,000
  • 3rd Place: $10,000
  • TradingScreen Technology Entrepreneurship Award: $10,000
  • Tekserve’s Women in Technology Prize: $5,000
  • Prize for Innovation: $5,000

A committee of judges selected the finalists over a period of three months. The finalists were selected based on creativity, quality of execution, and their ability to address a problem using Computer Science. 
The top finalists at the college level are:

  • David Taitz and Hikari Senju from Harvard College: “Balloon” (video)
  • Kevin Shi, Aman Grewal, Alyssa Davis, David Shekhtman, and Robert Walsh from The Cooper Union: “Mycrophone” (video)
  • Timothy Borny from James Madison University: “Oaddo” (video)
  • Stanley Martone, Thomas Nassr, Connor Croteau, Jennifer Lepore, Matthew Cameron, Matthew Logan, and Steve Oliveira from Quinnipiac Unviersity: “Kricket” (video)
  • Catherine D’Ignazio from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology: “The Babbling Brook” (video)
  • Gabriela Gualpa from Quinnipiac University: “Unbreak” (video)
  • High school semi-finalists have been selected and the winner of the TradingScreen “Excellence in Creative Computer Science” Award will be announced at the event.
